Welcome to my Substack, friends! Allow me to (re) introduce myself.

I’m Erica, and I’m a certified Holistic Health and Life Coach, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, 200hr Yoga Instructor, and a Group Fitness Coach. I have a deep-rooted passion for guiding women through their journey toward becoming the most authentic and aligned version of themselves.

My coaching approach focuses on addressing all areas of your well-being—mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual. I believe that in order to achieve your goals, you must honor your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and resources. We are all unique and require an individual approach when working toward becoming the best version of ourselves.

Whether you’ve kept up with my business these last few years, are deciding to tune back in after time away, or are brand new, I’m so glad you’re here!

As we enter the holiday season, I couldn’t think of a better time to reach out to you all. This time of year often brings a flurry of activity, emotions, and stress. Before the hustle and bustle truly kicks off, I’d love for us to take a moment and practice a bit of gratitude together.

Gratitude isn’t just about feeling good. When we choose to notice and name what we’re thankful for, we literally rewire our brain toward more connection, more peace, and more presence. Research shows it’s not just a nice idea—it supports our mental health, our bodies, and our days.

According to Harvard Health, people who practice gratitude–whether by keeping a gratitude journal, writing thank-you letters, or reflecting on the things they’re thankful for–report more positive emotions, greater life satisfaction, and stronger social connections. According to UCLA Health, people who regularly practice gratitude tend to report better sleep, less physical pain, and lower stress hormone levels.

So if you’re feeling stuck, stressed, or disconnected, gratitude is a great way to recenter and bring you more peace.

Let’s take a moment to practice together. Close your eyes and take a deep breath with me. Pick up a pen and paper, or open the notes app in your phone, and just start jotting down what you’re grateful for today. Don’t think too hard about the words you’re forming—just focus on feeling.

These feelings can be challenging when we’re facing hardships in our careers, our families, our romantic relationships, or even when we’re just feeling the weight and pressure of the world. It’s okay to give yourself the grace and understanding that practicing this doesn’t always come easy. However, I promise there is always something (or someone) to be grateful for, even if some days we have to search a little harder.

I, for one, am so grateful for:

  • Crisp fall air and crunchy leaves on the ground

  • Early morning cuddles with my dog, Blue

  • Sunday calls with long distance friends and family

  • The ability to move my body and do what I love to do daily

  • Each and every one of you reading this right now

I look forward to sharing more with you this season and beyond.
