Yes, I’m still here…just haven’t felt like writing much lately. I’m not sure why, but I’m hoping to rethink this whole blog in the new year. I’m not completely sure what that means yet, but I’d like to be more intentional about the whole thing. If you’re a regular reader of this blog, maybe you could let me know what you’d like to read. I know I’d like to write at least twice a month - not gonna get crazy and say weekly because I know better. But I feel like twice a month is reasonable, and if I plan things out a little more, I think it’s doable.

Anyway, all that to say…it’s been busy since I last wrote, which I think was when I was still in San Jose visiting and going to hockey games (hi, early October). Since then I’ve been to London, which would take me 17 days of blogs to tell you about, and I’m not quite up for that at this point. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw some snippets of my adventure. If you get my holiday letter, you saw a few there as well. If you don’t do/get either of those things, well, suffice it to say, it was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure with two of my favorite people on the planet.

We’re now less than a week from Christmas and less than two weeks from ringing in a new year. It truly seems like yesterday that we rang in this year. I honestly wasn’t sure at times if we would make it to December, but by the grace of God we did. I’m not about to rehash all the things that have happened this year because again, that would take far too many posts. It’s been a LOT, y’all. A lot of good, but so much bad across our country and world. There have been too many people dying, losing their rights, being kidnapped, murdered, and so on and so on. Last weekend just about did me in. The shooting at Brown was horrible, then came Australia, and then the Reiners. I can’t remember a weekend quite that violent and evil in a long time.

So, for now, I’ll just wish you all a happy holiday season in whatever way you choose to celebrate - or not celebrate. I wish you joy and peace and calm. I’ll be back soon with whatever direction I decide on for this blog. Until then, here’s a glimpse of my London adventure…
