It’s hard to believe I’ve been retired for two full years as of today. Some days it seems like I just left my office. Other days it feels like I haven’t worked in a decade. Time is weird. But retirement is great! I am thrilled that I was able to retire early and spend my time doing fun things like traveling, spending time with friends and family, exploring Colorado, seeing all the movies and shows and concerts, sleeping in, taking naps, reading, watching far too many game shows, and genuinely enjoying life. Is it all perfect? No. But it’s pretty dang good.

I know I haven’t posted in months, and I have no excuse. I’ve been busy, but not abnormally so. Every time I’ve sat down to write in the last few months my mind goes blank. There’s so much to say, but also nothing of interest to say. I can’t explain it, and I won’t make any promises to be better, but at least you’re getting something today.

Since my last post I’ve traveled to San Jose to see BTS in concert with my dear friend Robyn. Also had time in SJ to catch up with a few friends over some delicious food. I’ve seen a lot of movies, read a few books, been to the theatre for musicals and opera (a first for me!), been to the zoo, visited the Mother Cabrini Shrine, went to tea, visited some museums, built a few LEGO sets, had a couple of friends come to town (great to see you, Brita and Lalaine!), and so much more. Retired life is busy! I’m not even going to attempt to recap it all here because it would be super boring for all of us. But there are photos below for your viewing pleasure.

If you’d like to follow my movie adventures, you can friend me on Letterboxd. If you’d like to follow my reading adventures, you can friend me on Storygraph or Goodreads. But if you don’t want to follow me anywhere, here are some screenshots of what I’ve been seeing/reading.

In no particular order, here are some images from the last few months…

So there you have it! Life in Colorado is great, and I’m doing my best to enjoy as much of it as I can. If you’re ever in the area, our guest room is ready.

Happy July, everyone!
