Isa Ryan · A Homemaker's Manifesto

Hey friends,

As we began our read-through of Something Wicked earlier this summer, I had the nagging feeling in the back of my mind that this more traditional book club format just wasn’t going to stick.

You see, we used to do a freestyle book club in the past that was a lot of fun and brought all the well-read bookworms in our community together.

We shared titles we were reading, shared book recommendations, and inspired many essays expanding on the themes I write about on this page.

It was a breath of fresh air for busy homemakers and other working women to be able to connect over a love of books without being tied down to deadlines or remembering to make Zoom dates.

As classic literature and reading great books has (dare I say?) been trending among the youths as of late, I’d love to bring this back into our book club space! So, we’re launching today.

Right now in the chat, we’re discussing what we’re currently reading, setting goals for the upcoming year (I see you, homeschool moms), and getting recommendations for newbies from seasoned book lovers.

We’ll do a little grand re-opening for free today, with our study guide and ongoing subscriber chat continuing on behind the paywall.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Freestyle Book club and upcoming book and film study guides and essays

  • The full subscriber chat where you can start threads and ask questions at any time

  • The Voice Notes Podcast — raw, personal homemaker chit chat from my back porch

  • The growing library of downloadable ebooks on homemaking, personal study, + spiritual practices (new resources uploading soon!)

Can’t wait to see you all over in the chat! Happy reading.
