Need to catch up on last week?
I’m reading Dracula, and as menacing as the Count is, he’s also so petty. It is cracking me uuuup. For example, he’s holding a man named Jonathan hostage in his castle. Dracula steals his clothes, dons them, and then wreaks havoc in a nearby village. Just to make sure everyone hates Jonathan.
No but in all seriousness this book is legitimately scary. Good stuff, Stoker!
This week in the iota digest:
From Isaiah:
The finale continues! Our heroes are given a warm send-off by the denizens of JORJA.
From Jason:
In this episode, Psal makes his last desperate attempt on the Architect of the world. She treats Dáx differently, and then turns a cold eye on Scalavagen and those with him. But then someone new arrives and changes everything.
From Johnny:
Pebbles wakes. Mourns. Rips his grief to the sky like reverse lightning. Then he gets the scare of a lifetime.
Even if Jonathan managed to escape the castle everyone around would be like “THAT’S THE GUY WHO KIDNAPPED MY DAUGHTER, GET HIM”
Another notable moment from this book so far: The Count skittering head-first down the castle wall like a lizard. Awesome.
