The Page of Cups is the first installment of a supernatural mystery comic in two parts. When a young fellow of the Occult Society takes up a new post as occult practician to a remote fishing village, the mistrust of the community, and the bizarre circumstances of his predecessor’s death, force him to question his vocation and the institution to which he’s devoted his life. This book represents a substantial departure for me. After working on The City with Melanie for many years, this is my solo effort (except for some behind-the-scenes drawing assistance and an enormous amount of story feedback and editing!). It’s also the first story from a new setting that I’ve been developing for the past few years, and my first real attempt to tell a complete story that both begins and ends.
