The model has increased its allocation to equities from 42.86% to 50.00%, while reducing gold from 42.86% to 33.33%.

Cash has increased slightly to 16.67%, while bonds remain at zero weighting.

The Core report, historical allocations and performance remain completely free for everyone.

Gold Pro has also been updated with the latest monthly allocations across the precious metals, energy and resource complex.

The largest August allocations are:

  • Copper miners: 20.83%

  • Oil and gas producers: 16.67%

  • Copper: 12.50%

  • Oil: 12.50%

  • Silver miners: 12.50%

Gold, silver, platinum and gold miners retain smaller allocations, while uranium and uranium miners remain at zero weighting.

July was a positive month for Gold Pro, returning 2.26% compared with 0.94% for physical gold.

This represented monthly outperformance of 1.32%.

Since inception, Gold Pro is now ahead of simply holding physical gold by 1.13% on a compounded basis.

The latest US sector rotation model has also been published.

Current leadership favours:

  • Technology: 23.81%

  • Energy: 19.05%

  • Financials: 14.29%

  • Industrials: 14.29%

  • Materials: 9.52%

  • Healthcare: 9.52%

Technology remains the largest sector allocation, while energy and financials have both increased in importance for August.

Consumer Discretionary, Utilities and Communication Services remain at zero weighting.

Stocks Pro returned -0.51% during July, compared with -0.13% for the S&P 500 benchmark.

July monthly performance:

  • Overall Pro: +1.07%

  • Overall Core: +0.33%

  • Monthly outperformance: +0.74%

Since inception:

  • Overall Pro: +3.50%

  • Overall Core: -5.73%

  • Since-inception outperformance: +9.23%

The Pro portfolio produced another positive month in July, helped by the stronger performance from Gold Pro.

The August allocations also show a meaningful shift within the Core portfolio, with equities increasing to 50% and gold reducing to 33.33%.

Within the Pro models, leadership continues to favour technology and energy equities alongside copper miners, oil and other resource-related assets.

Markets rarely move in straight lines, and individual models will experience periods of both outperformance and underperformance. The focus remains on following the quantitative rankings and applying the updated allocations consistently each month rather than attempting to predict what markets should do next.

As always, allocations are updated monthly using the InvestingOnline quantitative ranking system.
