We live in an attention economy. Rebellion looks like not participating in spaces where the loudest voice wins. Rebellion means building quiet community of mutual assistance. Rebellion means not whoring our attention to anyone desperate for it. ~ V
Hi It's me. Been a while. I feel too empty to write anything. Or maybe too full. Either way, i shouldnt be writing. But i feel drawn to. I feel drawn to the Void. I read something that sort of defined beauty as contrast. Beauty is found when light and dark come together. When loud and quiet meet. i'm not sure i agree with them. I'm inclined to agree with that assessment, however I'd like to posit another explanation. Maybe we are collectively loosing our hearing because we've collectively decided to stop listening. A muscle that isn't…
The clocks have all just sprung an hour forward, and now everyone bemoans losing an hour of sleep. Except they didn't. Or, at least, they didn't have to. What we lose when the clocks change is entirely up to our decisions. An hour is lost, yes, but what would have happened during that hour is up to you. We are free to do what we wish, unbeholden to the sands of an hour glass. Simply, because the…
