Hey everyone! It’s time for another #TeamINSYM Blog of Destiny. This time out we’ll give a quick recap of the event this past weekend (First Coast Comiccon / Indie Comic Creator Con / IC3), share a cool accolade from one of the horror sites that #StephCannonWrites for, and give you some TATSUMI: THE SERPENT MISTRESS updates (there’s a bunch), including a LAST CALL!
Let’s get down to it!
We had an AWESOME time this past Saturday at FIRST COAST COMICCON / INDIE COMIC CREATOR CON in Jacksonville, FL! The NEW Jacksonville Fairgrounds - Duval Hall is a pristine facility just constructed to the southwest of downtown. It was great to be at a full-sized convention where comics and their creators were the stars of the show.
Foot traffic was steady for most of the day, and it felt like the energy was high and the vibe was positive. We would’ve gotten a lot more pics (looking directly at you ‘Ro’), but mother nature decided that the show needed to end early with a massive lightning storm and power outage during the last hour, which caused everyone to scurry to get their booths torn down and packed up ahead of the impending monsoon.
Nonetheless, A huge shout out to those who put on and ran this co-branded show, and we’re looking forward to seeing how this thing grows! A breath of fresh-air in a pop-culture focused convention world!

In other TATSUMI news, the coloring for issue #3 is about 70% done, and we’ve made some HUGE strides on the TATSUMI #5 (yes #5) script. Where this story is gonna go is gonna blow your mind (we hope… and only figuratively of course).
We’ve also had some progress on some upcoming ANTHOLOGY appearances as well. More on those soon!
