Hi friend! If there’s one category I always splurge on during the Anniversary Sale, it’s outerwear. A good coat or jacket is the piece you’ll reach for every single day once the weather turns, so it’s worth spending a little more on something you truly love. I spent an afternoon in the fitting room trying on all the ones that caught my eye, and these are the standouts, from a buttery suede jacket to the coziest quilted number. I’ve linked everything below, and if you want to see my full list of favorites from the whole sale, my complete coat & jacket shopping list is on ShopMy. Let’s get into it.

The whole crew came out to play for this one! Here we are (the Nordstrom6 stylists) with our Anniversary Sale hauls, each in a different jacket from the sale-olive, black leather, navy, and camel. Proof there’s a great option for every style.
The denim jacket: a true workhorse and a modern addition to your denim jacket collection. A great cropped denim jacket earns its place in every closet, and this one has the perfect not-too-long length. I styled it two ways here, layered over a printed top with a suede tote, and thrown over a navy maxi dress to prove it works well beyond jeans. It works well with a fitted dress, an A-line or empire waist best. You can also zip it and wear it as your top! It’s the piece that makes an outfit feel a little more finished. I’m wearing a small, true to size.
The chocolate suede jacket: my dark horse favorite. I almost walked past this one, and I’m so glad I didn’t. The rich brown suede, gold snaps, and stand collar give it a slightly polished, western-adjacent feel that dresses up everything. I wore it with a sage shirt and black pants for a more elevated look, then swapped in a striped sweater and jeans to show how easy it is. It’s true to size and ended up being my favorite jacket in the sale, but that’s a tough statement to make when there are so many! I’m wearing a small, true to size.
The navy quilted jacket: the everyday hero. This is the one I predict you’ll live in. The diamond quilting, corduroy collar, and gold snaps give it that timeless English-countryside look that never goes out of style. It’s lightweight but warm, and it goes with absolutely everything, dressed down with a ballcap and tee, or layered over a sweater with jeans. I’m wearing a 6, a size up. This runs small, like most Barbour pieces.
The cognac suede jacket: yes, it’s the one from the Nordstrom6 Drop. You’ve seen me rave about this one already, and it’s still going strong. That warm cognac suede and the soft gathered shoulder make it feel special without trying too hard. Here it is styled simply, a white tee, jeans, and the suede tote, because sometimes the jacket really is the whole outfit. I’m wearing a small, true to size and I love the idea of layering a denim shirt or jacket underneath, by the way.
The black leather jacket with the dramatic collar: for when you want a little edge. If your style leans a bit cooler and you don’t mind spending a little more for great quality, this is the one. The oversized funnel collar and asymmetric zip give it real presence, and it instantly makes jeans and a tee look intentional. I love it with a striped top and mixing textures with a suede bag. I’m wearing a small true to size.
The black faux leather bomber: the easy one. Where the last jacket makes a statement, this one just goes with everything. The soft bomber shape is relaxed and flattering, and it’s the kind of throw-on layer you’ll grab without thinking. Here it is with a striped tee, wide-leg jeans, and that gorgeous burgundy bag.
…and this one I just HAD to show you because it’s awesome. It’s an investment, but you’ll have it for years. The color is versatile and the style is timeless.

And there you have it, a few of the coats and jackets that made the cut this year. Whether you’re after a cozy everyday layer or a piece with a little more drama, I hope this helped you narrow it down. A good jacket is the kind of buy you’ll be glad you made every time you reach for it. And if you want to see the other coats and jackets I loved from the sale in one place, my full shopping list of favorites is right here: The Best of Coats and Jackets. As always, sizes on the best pieces go fast, so don’t wait too long if something’s calling your name. And if it’s already sold out (I can’t control that) then add it to your wish list and turn on your notifications so you’ll find out when it’s back in stock. Returns happen every day, all day! Happy shopping, friend!
Have a wonderful, stylish week,
Stacey Jones
