THEY DON'T KNOW

In a virtual class last week, someone asked a question that took me by surprise.

"What is Selar?"

I was like, is she for real?

But then, I realised that she has asked out of a sincere heart and the need to know.

At that point I recalled one student in another class sometime ago asking what a blog is.

Did you get my drift?

There are lots of people out there who do not know what you know and they're ready and willing to pay you to acquire that knowledge.

Your greatest undoing is commonising what you know.

And if you don't take it seriously, how will others take you serious?

Did you say nobody needs the knowledge you have?

I can tell you for free that that is not true.

Let me ask you: How will you know nobody needs your knowledge if you don't give it a try?

People are always seeking to better their lives by acquiring relevant knowledge and it can be about anything.

Yes, any knowledge you have can be transmitted through training, which would be paid for.

Do you know how to cook?

Can you draw?

Do you play musical instruments?

Are you knowledgeable about writing?

Can you sing?

Do you act?

Do you have knowledge of farming?

Are you into trading?

Do you have digital skills?

The list of what we can do is as many as we have human beings on earth.

People paid about #35, 000:00 (Thirty five thousand Naira) each for Hilda Baci to teach them how to cook.

We read that she made #70 million from that Virtual cooking class, which had 2,000 enrollees.

It doesn't mean that some of these people don't know how to cook.

It's either an opportunity to network or learn something new.

Stop commonising what you know!

Maximise the opportunity of social media platforms to promote your knowledge and attract interested students.
