Are All Steves This Awesome?

Hi everyone! It’s only Monday, so we’ve got a full week ahead… but Steve’s already gone to the pub. (He says he’s had a hard week already?) So while I await the inevitable ‘Can you pick me and Brad up from the pub‘ text, I’ve found myself with a few minutes to share something with you.

This Stephen (yes, Steve) works at Home Depot, and apparently they’re allowed to paint their aprons. (Being from the UK, Home Depot is unknown to me, but I fully support anywhere that lets you paint your clothes.) Anyway, not only did Steve get his paints out, he went and painted our Steve on his apron, complete with a tiny briefcase that says “trying my best,” a Steve name badge, and even the logo at the bottom. Honestly? Iconic behaviour.

When I asked him about it, he said Steve is his spirit animal and that “shenanigans are my credo.” Stephen, I agree wholeheartedly. He also said he shares our Steve’s posts all the time and has even converted a few friends to the way of the otter. Stephen, we love you. Your apron rules. Steve is honoured. And to sum up: everyone is just plain trying their best! This is a great day, which is even more impressive because it’s a Monday.

Anyway, I’d better get back to waiting for Steve to text me. To be fair at least if I pick him up he won’t try and get himself home, like he did last week. He tried his best, but… hang on, I’ll dig out the message so you can see for yourself:
