The utility bucket is one of those objects whose usefulness far exceeds its simplicity. It can be used for garden waste, handwashing laundry, collecting rainwater, or serving as a compost bin, ice bucket, recycling container, tool caddy, beach bucket, or casual vase.
Less a bucket than a portable room, it is a container for whatever needs doing. These are sturdy, unprecious examples made to be kept indefinitely and used often.

A. & J. Stöckli Swiss Plastic Bucket 10L and Lid
A solid 3mm thick plastic bucket that is also food-safe. Moulded in Switzerland. They also make a bucket in black from recycled plastic.
Kovotvar Hand-Painted Bucket 8L
A colorful option which can sometimes be found in red and yellow alike. Like the above, also by Kovotvar in Slovakia.
Grass Green Utility Bucket
Toast has this bucket in red and green and in a shorter profile than the others. Made of powder-coated steel and not watertight, it is intended for only some of the aforementioned uses.

Essential, watertight galvanized buckets with Niwaki written in katakana and a yellow plastic handle. Made in Himeji, Japan.
Perigot Tutti Frutti Bucket 13L
A French “multivitamin”-colored bucket in plastic—also available in translucent finish, tomato, medium blue, ocean blue, green, yellow, orange fluo, pink fluo, and yellow fluo, as shown.
