Taking shortcuts

Where we live, people love to take shortcuts. They'll judge and laugh on people who don't take shortcut. They drove 10m against traffic, than going around 1km the right way. They cut queue. They bribe to skip test and get license faster. They invest in speculation, hoping for a faster, bigger return. As long it's in their own interest. Yet they don't like it when it's not. When others drive…

You are me, we are one

Today we decide that this blog is for us, not others. I, the present us, is writing to you, the future us. So you can look back at our journey. You can see how we grow. If others find our writings useful, it's a bonus. May we have a good, fulfilled life. 2 of 100 #100DaysToOffload

100 posts to offload

I actually search the proper way to write the title. 100 Posts to offload? 100 posts to offload? Hundred posts to offload? First post and I'm already obsessed with 'the correct way'. And English is not even my first language. Anyway, Decided to give 100 Days to Offload a go. Though why is it called 100 days instead of 100 posts? Hm. 100 posts in a year. Just writing to myself. 1 of 100…

Simplifying home PC setup

This year I decided to go back to my Debian based NUC. During 2025, my data was scattered all over. Tried using Steam deck as daily driver for awhile. I wrote a physical journal for awhile, before it became tedious. Then I stripped it all and go back to digital journal on a command-line-only raspberry pi. I have some older entries in Joplin, as well as scattered notes in Apple Notes, Google Keep,…

Looking back at 2025

I was feeling down during the last 2 months of 2025. I tried to start a new walking habit to be healthier. Just 30 minutes of intermittent walking training on a walking pad. Midway, I missed a day every now and then. A day turn two, then became a week. I can't keep my streak. Never mind I thought, I'll do better in December. Life caught on, and when I failed within the first few days of December,…

Thank you 2025

For every breath still in me For the faith I still have For the family that I still have For roof over my head For cloth over my body For food that keep us full For the ability to be thankful For knowing what is enough for me For friends that I still care for For everything this life has given me Thank you 2025

Weekly Note 05

This week I have been distracted by the number three : The Witcher III Rune Factory 3 and finally, Empire of the Dawn by Jay Kristoff, which is the third and final book of his Empire of the Vampire series. Somehow Sesame's Street Count Dracula image pops up in my head as I wrote that opening lines. Now I can understand the hype over The Witcher III: Wild Hunt . When a game can make you feel…

Weekly Note 04

Hello November! I end up not joining Inktober this year. Completely forgot about it, and since I'm not so active on Instagram anymore, I didn't realize til the 5th. I was going to catch up, but currently, drawing is not one of my main interest anymore, and I thought there are other things that are more important than joining Inktober. Oh well, maybe next year. Today I finally finished reading…
