The Reason You're Stuck Isn't What You Think

Most people assume they’re stuck because they need more creativity.

That’s not the problem.

They’re stuck because they’re doing the right things in the wrong order.

In this week’s video 🎥, I share why—and give you a simple framework to help you know when to explore and when it’s time to build.

There are Dreamers and there are Builders.

Both can accidentally sabotage great ideas.

Dreamers can spend too much time exploring possibilities and never commit to building.

Builders can jump into execution too quickly and build the first idea that comes to mind.

Great innovation requires both.

The magic happens when you know when to dream... and when to build.

💡 If you’re a Dreamer, your greatest challenge is “locking in.”

Recognize when you’ve gathered enough inspiration to solve the problem and commit to bringing the idea to life.

🧱 If you’re a Builder, your greatest challenge is “dreaming.”

Practice associative thinking—let your brain chew on a problem while you go about your daily life and make new connections. This will enable you to not just build the first idea you find, but discover the best one.

And for the lucky ones, you’re good at both.

For everyone else, the goal isn’t to become a different type of person.

It’s to learn when to switch modes.

Here’s the process I use 👇🏻

1. Define the problem you’re solving.

2. Give yourself a dedicated exploration period (I recommend two weeks).

3. Actively collect inspiration during that time.

4. Then build.

Don’t rush the ideation phase.

If you don’t give your brain time to collect inspiration in the background, you won’t create the breakthrough ideas you’re looking for.
