Matthew Sardo · Unofficial Indie Comics Creator Con Newsletter

Hello, amazing people!

I’m reopening this Substack as the unofficial Indie Comics Creator Con newsletter because I want to make sure no creator gets left behind.

When I shut down the channel, I assumed that would be the end of it. Instead, people kept subscribing. Seeing those notifications continue to pop up reminded me that there are creators out there looking for opportunities, resources, and connections.

That inspired me to start typing again. So welcome back. #makemorecomics

First, a public service announcement. The best way to stay informed is to subscribe to the official newsletter and follow IC3 on Instagram. Click here to subscribe to the official newsletter, and check out www.IC3.art.

Let me say the IC3 Jacksonville show is going great. It has a stacked roster of creators: Amanda Connor, Jimmy Palmiotti, Keyla Valerio, Mahdi Khene, Dean Haspiel, Rick Lopez, Greg Land, Chris Campana, Jamie Jones, Matthew Allison, Mario Cau, Vanesa Del Rey, Aaron Bartling, Pat Broderick, Dan Goldman, Carlos Soca, Keith Browning, Eli Schwab, Mike Spicer, Jim Rugg, Rafael Dante, Ro Higashi, R.L. Black, James Greene, Amin Amat, and many more.

We only have a few tables left, but applications are still open for Jacksonville.

170 Jefferson Blvd, Warwick, RI

Hotel

This year, we moved the show to Teamworks Warwick, an indoor soccer venue that has a bar and pizzeria. We are using two of the fields and will have 150+ creators coming to town. The hotel, airport, and train station are less than a mile away from the venue. There is also a Mexican Restaurant (El Marinero) and a speakeasy (Jefferson Speakeasy) next to the hotel. Fun will be had, and memories will be made.

There is still time to apply if you want to be part of the show -https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfWnK2mhDRRH97AaSalK4E3tt8yeYO253xIu4oy-SnhAr8Esg/viewform
