We’re hiring for a full-time Managing Editor.
The Managing Editor will work directly with the Editor-in-Chief (Lauren Gilbert) to edit and shepherd pieces from commission to publication.
This role is a fit for someone who is a sharp editor and curious about many different issues in development. You must care about the substance and style; a good In Development piece should have both digressions on power calculations and jokes.
You will also have significant autonomy; as the second full-time employee on staff, you’ll be able to shape the direction of the magazine. The role is fully remote; salary is up to $100k (dependent on experience).
