L’Incubateur HEC Paris · L’Incubateur HEC Paris

International expansion doesn’t begin at the airport. ✈️
It starts long before the first meeting, the first customer, or the first pitch.

Preparing founders to enter a new market takes more than ambition. It takes practical experience, local networks, and an understanding of how that market actually works.

That’s the idea behind a new partnership between Terminal 11, HEC Paris, HEC Paris Incubation and Acceleration Center and STATION F.

Officially announced at the Élysée, the four-month program will support 10 Omani technology startups preparing to expand into European markets.

Throughout the program, participants will also gain access to the international resources and networks of HEC Paris and STATION F, helping them better understand the European entrepreneurship ecosystem. 🇪🇺

The goal is simple: turn international expansion into a practical pathway!

The countdown is on.

After building the company from the ground up, Sami Gomez, founder of Gustave and a HEC alumnus, announces he is stepping down as CEO.

From launching the startup with his associate Heickel Ben Naceur to scaling its operations, Gustave has grown into a company managing 9,809 vehicles, operating in 5 cities, and bringing together thousands of partner drivers and mechanics.

Behind these numbers is the reality of entrepreneurship: creating a product, building a team, overcoming operational challenges, and constantly adapting along the way. Sami’s journey highlights the ambition, resilience, and dedication required to build a company.

Funding isn’t shaped by founders alone.

Investors, funding ecosystem players, and policymakers all play a role in deciding who gets funded and who doesn’t.

For years, the rules of digital visibility were straightforward: rank higher on Google, earn more clicks, grow your business.

With the rollout of Google AI Overviews in France, that equation is beginning to change. Search is evolving from a list of links into a list of answers.

Instead of directing users to websites, Google increasingly provides AI-generated summaries, selecting only a handful of sources to build its responses. For many businesses, this could mean fewer clicks, even if their content continues to appear in search results.

The real challenge is no longer “How do I rank first?” but “Will AI choose my content?”

As AI-generated search becomes the new interface, companies will need to shift their focus from producing more content to building more authority. Some call it Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). Whatever the label, the objective remains the same: creating credible, expert, and original content that AI systems trust enough to surface.

“We’re no longer fighting to be first. We’re fighting to be chosen.”

For founders and business leaders, this is more than an SEO update. It’s a reminder that in the age of AI, visibility is no longer earned by ranking alone, it is earned by becoming a trusted source.
