Hi folks,
I made this blog for Inkhaven (a 30-day blogging residency). Thanks to all of you who kept with me during Inkhaven and read anywhere from 1 to 31 posts. It’s been a blast!
Now that Inkhaven is over, I want to shut this blog (The Inchpin) down. My writing will continue onwards over at The Linchpin!
The main blog is longerform content doing deep dives on (usually) important issues that interest me, from anthropic reasoning to zoology. It also has random jokes.
If you want a sample of what the blog is like, I think The Rising Premium of Life is the best place to start. People also like my book review of Ted Chiang.
What’s next for the main blog, and my life in general? I’m not sure. I have a work trial I need to focus on, and then after that the two main posts I’ve been working off-and-on are a book review of Skunk Works, and an elaboration of what I call “bifocal thinking,” with examples. I might also be randomly inspired to write 2500-5000 words on something seemingly random, of course!
My current aim is to have a post up by next Monday-Wednesday. No promises, however.
Oh, I also have a Substack livestream with Ozy Brennan coming up.
To keep up to date, please subscribe to the main blog!
Cheers,
Linch
