Change Those Plans Baby!

Hey y’all,

I love this hot weather. I haven’t slept in a long time. Dreams have been intense and more real than reality. My bees are confused. We went on a date to Hump Fest and I love my husband but I have questions about who gets to enjoy pleasure and freedom in this world…

The world is still on fire. Evil still shocks me. I’m still taking these singing lessons that open me up and keep me free. Still writing this script that is too long. My children still keep me in a perpetual state of awe and wonder. I can’t wait to be wrong about everything I think I know. And!

We had all these plans to be in Europe this summer, because I so love plans, but we changed our hearts and booked one way tickets to Da Nang, Vietnam!

Speaking of family and listening - I dedicate my love, offerings, prayers, meditations and listening today to my sweet and dear Auntie Linda, my godmother, my mother’s sister, my spiritual rock, who is now our angel, guide and ancestor.

She told me in this picture (below) to rest and eat. She said I was beautiful, and that laughing can be tiring sometimes…and to all of us: “This house is full of love” and “I want your touch“ and “I’m grateful for my family” and “Let’s be in the quiet.”

May these truths be true for all of us. All over this earth.

I miss your laugh, optimism, tight hugs and forcing us all to take too many photos, Auntie. Please hug my mama for me up there in the stars. And continue to bless us down here on this earth on fire below.
