everything leads you to the next thing.

if there’s one thing i’ve learned about business, it’s that everything leads you to the next thing.

every level prepares you for the next level.

before God deploys you into new territory, He prepares you in the one you’re already in. and usually, when you take a step back, you can see how every step was necessary and instrumental in getting you to where you are right now.

i’m currently building and working on my biggest project yet, rooted in community infrastructure, cultural preservation, wellness, ownership, and real-life connection.

as a community leader for the past decade, i understand how important these spaces are. and when faced with the opportunity to create my own space, my first question to myself was, “am i prepared for this?”

but when i stepped back and followed the through line from the beginning of my career as an artist, to moving deeper into community leadership, to moving into tech and blockchain technology, to working in artist relations, and then moving even deeper into community building, i realized how much i have been prepared for this.

being featured in Forbes and Bloomberg for the communities i’ve built. creating community for artists and creators, and teaching them about grants, ownership, resources, and financial possibility. holding space for people through music, storytelling, education, and wellness. all while co-owning a Black owned wellness studio with my mom in Inglewood for the past eight years.

i realized that i am exactly the person to take on this feat.

i have been preparing for this. and this next step will simply be the physical manifestation of all the work that has led me here. that alone gives me courage, and i hope my story offers you courage wherever you are.

i hope this story encourages you to look back and look at your own through line, and see how intricately God has been involved in the building of your story. nothing is an accident. everything is needed, good and bad. it’s all feedback. and wherever you are now is simply building you for where you will be.

so when in doubt, when in fear, find the through line.

it will always lead you back to your purpose.
