In January, I was part of Comicfest, a small event/market at Markthalle Basel. I didn’t have high expectations, so I was all the more surprised at how well this event went for me, and I was delighted by the countless positive interactions with all the wonderful people.
When I table at markets or conventions, I usually draw a lot to pass the time. This is a drawing I made for a fellow artist at the event:
I went sketching at the Natural History Museum of the University of Zurich with some friends:
The past month has also been a deep-dive into practicing and studying drawing foundations. I’m trying out New Masters Academy (an online art school) and so far, I’m very happy with the structure and content (even though I’m slightly deviating from some of the assignments and the recommended learning track to suit my goals better).
