If you’ve participated in any of my bi-weekly critique groups, or if you’ve done a mentorship with me, you’ve probably heard me comment on how your use of brown is ruining your work.
One illustrator asked, “Why do you hate brown, Giuseppe?” I don’t! It’s my third favorite color. Green is one. Gray is two. Yellow, fourth. Pink, fifth. The issue is: Far too many illustrators are fumbling their use of it.
So, let’s talk about brown’s complexity, and how illustrators can use it more effectively.
