I’ve always loved taking pictures. My phone is filled with thousands of them, little moments of beauty that have caught my attention and made me stop, even if only for a few seconds.
Whenever I see something beautiful, my instinct is to reach for my phone and capture it. I’m especially drawn to sunrises and sunsets, the changing colours, the softness of the light and the way no two skies are ever exactly the same. I also love photographing flowers, trees and the many small details in nature that can be so easy to overlook.
For me, taking a photo is a way of paying attention. It helps me pause and appreciate what is in front of me. A photograph also allows me to hold on to a moment and share a little of what I saw and felt with someone else.
That is why I often include photos and sometimes videos in my Substack posts. They feel like another part of the story, alongside the words. But I also know that everyone enjoys reading differently. Some people love seeing plenty of pictures, while others prefer the simplicity of writing on its own.
So, I would genuinely love to know what you enjoy most.
What kind of posts would you most like to see?
Writing with photos and videos
Writing only, without photos or videos
A mixture of both
No preference, I enjoy either

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Whatever you choose, I’m grateful that you’re here and taking the time to read my words, and perhaps see a little of the world through my eyes.
Today I’m sharing with you some of the beautiful images I captured during my nature walks! I hope you enjoy them.
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!
Much love ❤️
Irene 💜
