Here’s your June update:

This June the coastline turns into a continuous flow of festivals, performances, and public celebrations. From Formula 1 in Monte-Carlo to street arts in Antibes and open-air classical concerts in Èze, the month blends international spectacle with intimate coastal experiences.

At the same time, the region quietly shifts into full summer mode—yacht season intensifies, beach clubs fully open, and museums, galleries, and coastal venues extend their programming into long evenings. The result is a month where official festivals and everyday Riviera life blend into a single, continuous season of activity.

The weather is perfect for spending time on the beaches (but watch out for jellyfish!), enjoying water sports, and indulging in delicious cuisine at the region’s best restaurants (have you tried the organic garden menu at Blue Bay yet?)

Get ready to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Mediterranean and embark on a journey of discovery. Here are some of the highlights of what’s happening this month:

Monaco Grand Prix (June 4–7): Formula 1 returns to the winding streets of Monaco for its most iconic race weekend. The city transforms into a high-security circuit surrounded by superyachts, rooftop events, and private terraces overlooking every corner of the track. The atmosphere peaks from Saturday qualifying through Sunday’s race.

Déantibulations (June 5–7): Antibes’ long-running free street arts festival celebrates its 20th edition across the old town. Expect circus acts, dance performances, fire-juggling, and immersive outdoor theatre woven through the historic streets. The entire city becomes a moving performance space.

Monte-Carlo Television Festival (June 12–16): This international television festival takes place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. The event brings together global streaming platforms, broadcasters, and talent for premieres, screenings, press events, and the Golden Nymph Awards. Red carpets and public-facing appearances run alongside the industry program.

Les Nuits Carrées (June 18–21): Antibes’ open-air music festival marks its 20th edition at the Pré des Pêcheurs. Across four nights, the program showcases contemporary French and international artists spanning hip-hop, pop, and electronic music. The waterfront setting gives the festival a distinctly coastal atmosphere.

Fête de la Musique (June 21): A nationwide celebration of live music held on the summer solstice. Across the Riviera, streets, squares, and harbours fill with free performances spanning every genre, from classical ensembles to electronic DJs. It is one of the most widely attended cultural nights of the year.

uPAINT (June 21–25): A live urban art festival that transforms Monaco’s public spaces into an open-air creative studio. International street artists produce large-scale works in real time across the city. Visitors can watch the entire creative process unfold from blank surface to finished piece.

L’Èze Harmonies (June 26–28): A classical music festival set in the medieval village of Èze. Concerts and intimate street performances take place across historic squares and stone passages. The program focuses on chamber music and acoustic performances in a highly atmospheric setting.

La Crème Festival (June 26–28): A social coastal festival held at Villefranche-sur-Mer’s Citadelle overlooking the sea. The experience blends live music, food, pétanque, swimming, and relaxed Riviera social life. It is designed as a slow, immersive summer gathering rather than a traditional staged festival.

IRONMAN (June 28): A full-distance triathlon along the Promenade des Anglais and into the hills surrounding Nice. Athletes compete in swimming, cycling, and running while spectators line the coastline for the duration of the race.

It’s also the perfect month to take some time to enjoy a seaside walk or explore a hilltop village.
