IAEM R9 Symposium Registration Closes on 31 July

Aloha - We are in the final week before registration closes on 31 July for our second regional symposium ever to be held in Honolulu, HI from 12-13 August. In addition, to the Governor of Hawaii providing opening remarks, we have a new keynote speaker to announce - Miss Hawai’i 2026 - Carly Yoshida speaking on her platform - "Weather the Future," which focuses on safety, emergency readiness, and community resilience.

Registration for the symposium closes on 31 July, and there is still room available if you can make it. Register here.

For those of you that already registered, we would ask that you update your registration NLT next Friday (31 July) to let us know if you'll be able to make any or all of the optional events starting with the Elk's Lodge on 10 August from 4:30 - 6:30 pm (Sponsored by the City and County of Honolulu Department of Emergency Management), Beer Lab Hawaii on 11 August from 4:30 - 7 pm (Sponsored by the Emergency Management Professionals of Hawaii), and on 12 August from 4 - 5:30 pm (Sponsored by the Kapolei Local Emergency Action Network). We also still have slots open for the certification exam scheduled for 13 August from 1 - 3:30 at DEM.

And, there is optional training available on 10 August from 12-4 pm on Lessons from Mass Violence: Best Practices for Community Preparedness, as well as a 2 day workshop from 13-14 August on Project Management for Emergency Managers (PM4EM).
