📅 Save the dates—and get involved. March brings big news for Region 9, including symposium registration, call for speakers, certification highlights, and ways to connect across our EM community.

📍 Honolulu, Hawaiʻi | August 11–12, 2026
Registration is officially open, with early bird pricing through June 12. Remember the Call for Speakers ends on March 13th—this is your chance to share lessons learned and innovative practices with colleagues across Region 9.

This year’s optional training, “Lessons from Mass Violence: Best Practices for Community Preparedness,” will focus on coordinated planning for Family Assistance Centers (FACs) and Friends & Relatives Centers (FRCs)—with practical tools and an interactive tabletop exercise led by the National Mass Violence Center.

📍 Long Beach, CA | November 6–12, 2026
The IAEM Poster Showcase Call is open—open to students, practitioners, and academics alike. Region 9 members continue to earn recognition, and we look forward to seeing this year’s submissions shine.

Congratulations to our newly certified and recertified AEMs and CEMs across Region 9. Your commitment to professional excellence strengthens our entire emergency management community.
