Radio shows

Starting in 2009, I was able to co-host some radio shows on D93 (WDNS) in Bowling Green, KY, thanks to DJs Bryan Locke and Tommy Starr. Those shows are now available, if you have any interest in listening to my KISS and Alice Cooper specials, or our Webb Wilder Home

Creepshow soundtrack and missing cues

A lot of great horror films have great scores, but my absolute favorite is John Harrison s Creepshow soundtrack. I can t tell you how many times I ve listened to it over the years, and that s not even counting all of the times I ve seen the movie. I own the original vinyl

Great article about Marvel’s first KISS comic book

Heritage Auctions is selling the highest-graded copy of Marvel Super Special #1, which featured KISS, and they posted this article about the comic, in which writer Alan Weiss describes how it came to be. Well worth the read, IMO! KISS and Tell

Podcasts and an interview

This year was off to a fun start. I was invited to be a guest on two podcasts to discuss Planet of the Apes, and the website Horror to Culture interviewed me about Planet of the Apes and my connection to Robert McCammon. Check them out, if you re interested! Horror

Albert Pyun s 1982 film The Sword and the Sorcerer has been one of my favorite films since I first saw it in its opening weekend. I have a few items related to the film. My most recent acquisition is the UK Press Book for the film, which provided theater owners

Hunter’s King Kong 1976 Archive

At the end of May 2021, I launched a new archive website devoted to the 1976 film King Kong. I was 12 when it came out, and I loved it. It was the first film I saw in a theater twice. All of these years later, I still love it.

VAX Professional: VMS Privilege Masks

My ninth article for VAX Professional was entitled VMS Privilege Masks, and it explained the various privileges VMS supported and how they were set and cleared. Most of this information is still accurate. VAX Professional: VMS Privilege Masks

Meeting Alice Cooper

I ve been very lucky to get to meet and to know, to some degree, Alice Cooper. After the opening of his Theatre of Death Tour in 2009, his managers, Shep Gordon and Toby Mamis, invited me to write a blog post about the night for Alice s website. I did, and then

VAX Professional: The Callable TPU Interface

Two in one day! My fourth VAX Professional article was about the callable TPU interface. TPU stands for Text Processing Utility, and it was a language introduced in VAX/VMS V4.2 for writing editors. The EVE editor was written in TPU, and it was easy to extend or modify EVE by writing
