July was a big month: v2.16.0 just shipped with a brand-new CLI built for AI agents, the Agent Builders Cup hackathon opens August 1 with a $20,000 prize pool, and we're kicking it all off live on The Bot Pod Episode 13. Let's dive in.
Our latest release makes Hummingbot more agent-friendly than ever — a scriptable CLI, agent memory in Condor, new connectors and chains, and hardened wallet security across the stack. More on the two biggest additions below.

💻 New
hbotCLI — A non-interactive command-line interface for running, controlling, and monitoring Hummingbot without the TUI. Compact Markdown output, stable exit codes, and--jsonsupport make it easy for AI agents and humans alike to drive Hummingbot from scripts, CI, and agent workflows — no MQTT broker required.🔗 Robinhood Chain & Unichain — Gateway adds two new EVM chains, with Uniswap router, AMM, and CLMM wired up on Robinhood Chain mainnet using official deployment addresses.
🔌 New Gemini & Lambdaplex connectors — Spot connectors for Gemini, the regulated cryptocurrency exchange, and Lambdaplex, a Hedera-native onchain exchange with offchain matching.
🔀 New Solana routers — Titan, DFlow, and OKX DEX join Jupiter as Solana router connectors, with all transaction signing consolidated through a single chokepoint.
🦄 Uniswap v4 routing — Routing now includes v4 pools on supported chains (mainnet, Arbitrum, Base, Unichain, and more), picking whichever route prices best. Plus, Permit2 allowances no longer expire every 48 hours by default.
🧠 Condor agent memory & skills — Agents now support persistent user memory and reusable skill playbooks, exposed via MCP tools and a new
/memorycommand. The web dashboard also gains a full model picker with an advisor that steers you toward local or free OpenRouter models.📊 Interactive reports — Condor reports are now self-contained interactive HTML with filters, linked charts, drilldowns, searchable tables, and CSV export — viewable in the dashboard or offline.
🔒 Wallet security hardening — Gateway adds at-rest key encryption, loopback bind by default, opt-in API auth, and rate-limiting for network-reachable deployments, with auto-generated mTLS certificates from Hummingbot API.

The headline feature of v2.16.0 is hbot, a new non-interactive CLI for running, controlling, and monitoring Hummingbot, without needing to go through the interactive Python shell.
Every command emits compact Markdown output with stable exit codes, and run/observe support --json for machine-readable output. That means AI agents and humans alike can drive Hummingbot from scripts, CI pipelines, and agent workflows. Under the hood, it runs the same HummingbotApplication and TradingCore engine as the classic client through a headless host.

v2.16.0 expands where you can trade across both CEXs and DEXs:
⚡ Gemini — Spot connector for the regulated cryptocurrency exchange, trading via the Gemini Fast API (WebSocket) and REST v1 API with limit/market orders, cancellation, balance tracking, and real-time order and trade updates. Thanks to community contributor erickuhn19!
⚡ Lambdaplex — Spot connector for the Hedera-native onchain exchange with an offchain matching engine and onchain settlement. Thanks to community contributor petioptrv!

The Agent Builders Cup is an agentic strategy hackathon run by Botcamp, our affiliated education company — and it's almost go time.
Build a Hummingbot V2 Controller or Condor Agent, apply to one of six exchange sponsor teams — Orca, Derive, Gate, XRPL, Bitget, and Meteora — and compete for a $20,000 total prize pool. Each sponsor selects two agents, and the finalists face off in a 48-hour live trading competition.
