While families struggle to foot the bill for basic necessities like groceries and gas, President Trump continues to funnel tax dollars into cage matches, gilded ballrooms, and all manner of exorbitant expenses.
While Trump lined the pockets of his billionaire buddies, Americans sat down to make decisions about whether to pay for medical bills or rent this month.
This spectacle is about distracting our communities from what’s really at stake — our freedom.
And it’s not the only distraction Trump likes to use.
From immigrants to DEI to trans people, the administration has a rolodex of scapegoats that they fumble through on a daily basis.
But here’s the truth.
Trans people are not the reason groceries cost more while a multimillion-dollar cage match is fought on America’s front lawn.
DEI is not why housing costs are skyrocketing while a $200 million ballroom is constructed at the behest of a wannabe dictator.
Americans were promised economic relief, lower prices, and a fiscally responsible government. Instead, this administration is fueling another war in America: a culture war full of political distractions from their failed economic policy.
When leaders spend their time sowing division instead of addressing affordability, the public will always pay the price.
At the end of the day, we know this is about control.
Control over our bodies.
Control over who we love.
Control over our ability to vote.
These choices should be left to us — because we know ourselves best. Not an out-of-touch dictator.
This is your reminder that in times like these, WE are all we’ve got.
We are the ones who support each other when an administration refuses to answer for the cultural and economic chaos it has sown in communities around America.
We HAVE to stay connected when the world feels like it’s coming to an end. Because if you fall, your community will catch you.
