I’ve been visiting Ibiza for over twenty years, and it’s one of my favourite places in the world. I love it for the beaches, the food and that unmistakable Ibizan way of life. But as an art dealer, I also appreciate the galleries, vintage shops, beautifully designed interiors and creative spaces tucked away across this magical island.

If you’re planning a trip and you love art, interiors and vintage as much as I do, I hope this guide helps you discover another side of the island.

If you missed the first guide in this series, Where I Shop for Vintage in Ibiza, I'd start there. It covers my favourite vintage shops, flea markets and treasure troves across the island.

This guide picks up where that one leaves off, focusing on galleries, creative spaces and the places that continue to inspire me.

Planning a summer trip? If your dates are flexible, it's worth seeing whether they coincide with CAN Art Fair Ibiza. Several galleries extend their exhibition programmes during the fair, making it an especially exciting time to explore the island's creative side.

One thing that’s worth knowing about Ibiza is that it operates on its own timetable.

Many galleries, shops and restaurants close for part of the year, and the island’s idea of winter is very different to ours. You might be planning a trip in May and assume everything will be open, only to discover some places are still on winter hours.

I’ve also been caught out more than once by Google Maps saying somewhere is open when it isn’t. In Winter, places may operate on by appointment without this being communicated. If there’s somewhere you’re particularly excited to visit, don’t rely on Google alone. Send them a quick message, call ahead or check their Instagram before planning your day around it. It’ll save you a disappointing journey.

Inside this guide I’m sharing:

— Galleries where you can buy contemporary art

— Museums and exhibition spaces worth visiting for art lovers

— Vintage shops and markets for art and inspiration

— Beautifully designed interiors and creative spaces

— Plus my Google Maps link with every recommendation pinned
