In a Time of Crisis, Belonging Is the Strategy

In a time of natural disaster or political crisis, the questions are the same: Where are my people? How will we get through this together?

john a. powell’s work on belonging inspires me. I believe organizing is how we resist, and solidarity is how we create a better world. And belonging is essential to both.

That’s why I created a zine, “Community As Strategy.” We need to get much better at working together, and building power and solidarity.

The Trump regime and their billionaire and SCOTUS enablers continue their attacks on our basic rights, while destroying the institutions that have protected our health, democracy, and environment.

This zine offers a toolkit you can use in your group. It shows how to create community support and shared power so that we can come out of this dark time with the capacities to create something better.
