The race is on to collect 1 million signatures before time runs out to get the Local Taxpayer Protection Act to Save Proposition 13 on the ballot next year.

Have you signed the petition yet? It’s easy. Go to SaveProp13.com and press the button at the top to “Sign the Petition Now.” That will give you a pdf file with the one-page petition that can be printed on ordinary letter-size paper. The pdf file includes complete instructions and a cover sheet with a convenient clip-and-tape mailing label. Print, sign, mail, Save Prop. 13. Tell a friend!

Ballots have mailed out to all active registered voters for the special election on November 4. There is one statewide measure on the ballot: Proposition 50.

The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association recommends a vote of “No on Proposition 50.” Here’s more information on why.

To register to vote, visit RegisterToVote.ca.gov. You can also check your voter registration status at VoterStatus.sos.ca.gov. If you have recently moved, be sure to update it!

For information on polling locations for in-person voting, contact your county election officials. Here’s the contact information for all 58 counties.
