Hey cats — Daddy-O here.
I’m honored (and honestly pretty jazzed) to say I’ve officially joined Mary, Ryan, and Howard as a co-host of the Reality Piano Bar Show, LoungeACADEMY. After a good stretch behind the scenes, I’ve been promoted to in front of the camera — and you’ll be seeing (and hearing) more of me, including live on the show.
For my first official move as co-host, I wanted to do something that felt right.
I wanted to spotlight one of my favorite LoungeCADETs.
If you’ve spent any real time around LoungeACADEMY, you already know Joe Dinki.
Joe is Buffalo’s beat poet, and he’s part of the LoungeACADEMY DNA in a real way. He was old friends with Jackie Jocko, and he’s the reason we have video archives of Jackie at the Cloister — on that mirrored piano — from back in the days when cameras were Jurassic and cables ran from TV vans parked out on the street.
That’s not square behavior.
That’s showing up for the culture.
Joe just dropped a spoken-word piece, and for my first time stepping out front as Daddy-O, it felt like exactly the right thing to share.
