This week I am bringing you to the start of my creative sabbatical in Paris.
I am feeling more creative than ever, that’s why I decided to let my curiosity lead the way — Art history, photography, writing, reading, wandering… Whatever calls.
I’ll be digging into subjects and projects I’ve been obsessed with for years, but never had time to explore properly.
Let’s go!
To kick off this exciting journey, I decided to explore arts in general. Starting with Art history at the Ecole du Louvre and drawing classes at Les Beaux Arts.
Ecole du Louvre —
I already took their summer classes two years ago, and I loved the experience. This time, I’m committing to the full year with one class every week, moving from antiquity to occidental arts, all the way to modern art. In just 1h30 a week, I am building a solid visual and cultural foundation, linking eras, styles, across centuries and continents. I sometimes pair my lesson with a visit to the Louvre or the Musee Guimet and get fully absorbed in the topic I’m learning.
Les Beaux Arts —
I registered for their New Amateur Academy for the winter season, taking one class each week. They offer programs in different techniques—drawing, painting, and more—led by former artists, suitable for any level.
If you’re interested, other schools in Paris also offer part-time classes: Ateliers du Carousel from the Arts Deco | Adult Education classes from the city of Paris | Ateliers Gobelins | Art history classes from Paris Musées | MOOCs from the Grand Palais
La suite… on the next episode!
The Super Bowl was yesterday! 🏈
When I was living in New York, I remember that it was a big deal. It’s when the world tunes in for one of the biggest sports event but also… the ads and the music.
It started in 1967, born from a merger between two rival American football leagues. Today it draws over 100 million viewers in the US alone — one of the most-watched sporting events in the world, alongside the UEFA Champions League final. It's also the second biggest food consumption day in America after Thanksgiving.
are their own event. A 30-second spot costs $7.7 million. Brands spend months on these — Apple’s 1984 Macintosh launch, the Budweiser campaigns, the dot-com era madness. Part of the audience tunes in purely for the ads. This year Claude had one. More on that below.
It used to be marching bands. Then in 1993 the NFL called Michael Jackson — and nothing was ever the same. (You can check all the half time shows on youtube).
This year was Bad Bunny time — which was the second most-watched halftime performance in history.
Next year’s Super Bowl is set for February 14, 2027 (what a beautiful Valentine’s Day program!) in California.
This year, AI took over the Super Bowl commercials. OpenAI, Google, Meta — everyone wanted their 30 seconds. But behind the ads, a different drama was brewing: Claude vs. ChatGPT.
But Claude stepped in with a bold angle — we’re not here to monetize your conversations. A clear shot at OpenAI.
Sam Altman fired back, calling it dishonest. Which, of course, only added fuel to the fire. War is on!
See you in the next episode 💘
