Last night, House Freedom Caucus member, Congressman Andy Ogles, was defeated in Tennessee’s 5th CD Republican Primary election, 53-47.
As a result of redistricting in Tennessee earlier this Spring, almost 80% of the voters in the 5th CD were new to Andy this election cycle.
But the most disturbing feature of this race is that a liberal Super PAC bankrolled by left-wing California Democrats spent $2 million attacking Andy, in effect raiding the Republican Primary.
The funders of this Super PAC include a San Francisco Billionaire who gave $12 million to Kamala Harris and has pledged to spend “whatever it takes” to elect Gavin Newsom. They ran negative ads on Andy and “pro-Trump” ads for Andy’s opponent, all designed to confuse voters and take out Andy.
Why would they get involved in a Republican Primary in Tennessee?
It’s simple. The Super PAC that attacked Andy wants the return of Biden’s Green New Scam, the very funding of which Andy and the House Freedom Caucus worked with President Trump to strip out in 2025.
This is the second time we’ve seen a Democrat Super PAC masquerading as “Republican” in one of our Freedom Caucus Fund-endorsed candidate primaries. They spent against Chip Roy in Texas as well.
As we turn the corner into the November General Election season, we know these same Democrat Super PACs are targeting at least SIX of our Freedom Caucus Fund-endorsed candidates, setting aside millions of dollars to attack them:

🎯 Eli Crane (AZ-02)
🎯 David Flippo (NV-02)
🎯 Brandon Herrera (TX-23)
🎯 Scott Perry (PA-10)
The DCCC has placed all six of them on their top tier target list for November.
These are America First conservatives standing with President Trump fighting to secure the border, cut reckless spending, defend the Second Amendment, protect free speech, and stop the Democrat agenda.
They’re under attack because they’re effective. We cannot let these Democrat Super PACs do to them what they did to Andy Ogles.
