i’ve been absolutely obsessed with the curated media lists i’m seeing all over this website lately. my favorite genre of literature is when a bright ethereal woman gives me a glimpse into her taste. my second favorite genre is horror, especially gothic horror, or really anything that polite society might describe as strange and unsettling. i try to watch a horror film almost every night, read a horror novel every month, and flood my ears with wailing of all kinds. post-punk, dark folk, symphonic metal, the list goes on.
the joy i get from immersing myself in the macabre is too great to gatekeep, so i thought i would share with you my own collection of spooky season essentials.
