Welcome to holy woman letters 💌

This is the first post in its new skin here on Substack. You can also explore some of the pieces I’ve brought over from my previous website.

My writing has taken on a new shape lately. Instead of sitting at a computer for hours, wrestling an idea from the mind into form — now, I allow it to come through me when it feels most alive.

In practice, this looks like reaching for my phone to record audio or using speech-to-text to capture the essence of creative thought. Usually when I’m out walking, soaking in the bath, or even when I am in the thick of it while juggling the leadership of parenting and community. In less practical terms, it looks like opening myself to the universe so that I may be a human vessel for transmission.

It would be naïve of me to say I am a clear channel all the time. What comes through is filtered through my humanness. My lived experience of this blessed life. Still, I hope to offer something pure and true, alongside the texture that only I can add.

I trust that taking a stand for my own sovereignty, and for the messages that want to come through me, will be received by the right people.

The name felt like the edgier choice, and that is precisely why I chose it. Because it pushes beyond the comfort zone.

A north star I’ve been working with in my life is devotion to being a holy woman for the sake of creating a new earth, for my daughter and for all future generations of humanity.

As I’ve stepped into this commitment, it has begun to strip me bare. Asking me what it truly means to be a holy woman, showing me where to let go, and inviting into a deeper integration of all the versions of the woman I have been.

In this moment, I am in a thick fog of luteal heaviness. Lovingly held by my ancestral lands, I have been diving deeper into the well, getting closer to the roots of pain and conditioning that have been at the steering wheel for too long. This has been my most potent moon cycle since quitting birth control and reclaiming my natural cycles. The release is going to be lit 🔥🩸🍂

And as I traverse these personal waters, I also feel the current of so many women doing the same. Healing and blooming. Rebelling and reclaiming. Throwing out the map and carving a new path led by inner knowing. A wellspring of ancient wisdom is flowing through our collective womb. The frequency of the holy woman is alive, and it is a rising tide.

I believe that is deeply personal. And I will attempt to encapsulate some of the threads of likeness as I see it:

To live in alignment with the pace of nature

To care for Mother Earth as one of Her children

To offer our prayers up, and sink our roots down

To hold oneness in the face of duality

To honor sovereign truth in self and in others

To act in accordance with the frequency of love

To honor all emotions as sacred thresholds

To trust that the way knows the way

To seek cosmic relief through forgiveness

To be a living bridge through which truth, joy, and abundance may flow

To be willing to see the holiness in all things

And to dance in the great mystery of it all

It feels right to presence that this takes on a different texture for each of us. Part of this path is honoring our sisters and the journeys they are walking, even when they look different from our own. Because “holier than thou” is simply judgement dressed up in holy robes.

The greatest support I’ve received on my own path has come from the reflections and companionship of the many amazing holy women I’ve been blessed to walk beside. Some of them may not align with the term “holy woman”, and I know there is so much baggage carried by these words.

Here, we will acknowledge holy women as diverse, multidimensional beings, devoted to something larger than themselves. Through the inner work of remembering who they are and what they came here to do, and through their external work in the world.

The intention for this space is to birth something raw, where we can discuss the more edgy topics like sexuality, money, power, and religion. A landing space for people of all creeds. And my hope is that it becomes a community where others can share their own letters about the textures of devotion, the messiness of surrender, the journey of motherhood, and all the ways we meet resistance on this path.

🌬️ Before you go, I invite you to take a slow, juicy, deep breath with me.

Inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth. As you exhale, whisper inwardly: I am holy in my humanness. May this truth ripple into your day in gentle ways.

Thank you for being here, I would love to chat if this resonates.

Kym 💜
