HODLpac · HODLpac’s Newsletter

gm,

Today’s newsletter is all about HODLpac’s Donation Round #1 results. Stay tuned tomorrow for our latest round of endorsements.

Let’s hop right in…

First of all, a big thank you to all who took part on HODLpac’s first quadratic funding donation round. If you didn’t have a chance to give it a try, worry not! We’ll be announcing a new Donation Round very soon.

If you haven’t been keeping up, a reminder: HODLpac’s donation decisions are made differently than normal “trad-PACs.” Instead of sending money to a black box where a small group of people make decisions about which candidates to support, when you send money to HODLpac, you are funding a matching pool that amplifies donations from individuals (like you!) given to endorsed candidates through HODLpac. So, HODLpac’s donation decisions are made “by the crowd” when crypto voters use our direct donation tools. Matching totals are based on quadratic funding, learn more here.

Each Donation Round will have three matching pools: a Republican matching pool, a Democratic matching pool, and a “Single Issue Voter” matching pool. The Republican pool matches donations to endorsed Republican candidates, the Democratic pool matches donations to endorsed Democratic candidates, and the “Single Issue Voter” pool matches donations to all endorsed candidates.

Donation Round #1’s Matching Pool Totals:

  • “Single Issue Voter” - $25,000

  • Republican - $2,500

  • Democratic - $2,500
