Chapter Thirty-Three
“Aunt Riese, what does in … intur… intru … What does this word mean?”
Riese climbed down from the footstool she was using to hang orange and purple lights around the tasting room and went over to where Syrah was sitting, poring over the magic book Ailor had left her. She squinted down at the page which seemed to be instructions for crafting some sort of magical alarm system.
“Intrusion,” Riese read the word her niece was pointing to. “It means someone entering into a place they aren’t supposed to be. Like if you barge in on me when I’m in the bathroom, that’s an intrusion.”
“Oh, okay.” Syrah went back to reading.
