I had plenty of WaveBird controllers but only one OEM receiver, so I built a batch of loopj's open-source WavePhoenix receivers, a drop-in replacement for the GameCube WaveBird's RF dongle. Beyond the build, the threads include a full walkthrough of updating the firmware over the [WavePhoenix web updater](https://web.wavephoenix.com).
