In the town neighboring the one where my father used to live, there is a historic temple called Eiho-ji. Tragically, the main hall was destroyed by a fire in 2003. Following that, it took eight years and over one billion yen to be reconstructed, finally reaching completion in 2011. My father visited the temple and took photos in both 2010 and 2011. The photos featured in this article are the ones he took in 2010.
These photos are a part of the daily life my father captured over a four-year period starting in 2010.
