I have begun hearing whispers of the idea that summer is almost over. I reject the notion entirely. Summer is alive and well.
These past few weeks have been thrilling: we sang on a chartered bus, we took over a ferry to the island, we met the legendary Reece Martin of RM Transit. And there is so much more still to come.

It’s hard to believe, but Hidden Rivers has now been around for four years. It started with me posting videos, documenting my curiosity in real time.
Then, totally unexpectedly, this happened:
Over the years, many of you have asked for insights on the behind-the-scenes: How do I think about branding & marketing? What is my research process? And why did I start a walking tour company in the first place?
To celebrate this four-year milestone, I’m hosting a lecture and Q&A where I’ll share my insights as best I can. Then, we’ll all hang out and eat cheese.

I probably shouldn’t pick favorites, but this is the tour I most look forward to every year. I am joining forces with Sage, Brittany, and Kafiya—all incredible performers & creators—and two interpreters to bring you a tour in both English and American Sign Language (ASL).
Join Where is Toronto's Waterfront
On this tour, we will walk Toronto’s original waterfront, and see what it takes to build a city into a lake. This tour takes place along wheelchair-accessible downtown paths. Join for the Toronto maritime history, stay for the sign language lesson.
A couple weeks ago, an amazing series of videos about Toronto’s public art popped up on my Instagram feed. Buildings and sculptures I’d walked by my whole life suddenly took on new life. I was hooked.
Who was this expert? Turns out he’s Michael Usling, an artist, designer, and scholar of public art. And on Wednesday August 26th, he will be giving a tour of the art dappling Toronto’s streetscape, from Banksy to Global Convenience. This will sell out quickly, so book your spot now!
Finally, next-next weekend, I’ll be running back this summer’s two most popular tours:
August 22nd at 10am: The City Beneath Toronto, a loop through Toronto’s most scenic ravine.
August 22nd at 3:00pm: The Signal & The Noise, three hours admiring infrastructure at a single intersection.
