Why Your Emails Are Starting To Blur Together

A few weeks ago I noticed my newsletters were starting to blur together.

Same lesson, slightly different words, three emails in a row. Not on purpose. I’d built a system to turn my coaching calls into drafts, and it was doing exactly what I told it to — take the call, pull the ideas, write it up.

The problem was me. I give similar advice to a lot of people. So the same good nugget kept floating to the top.

Just because I explained the same rule on three different calls this week doesn’t mean it deserves three newsletters. It deserves one.

The fix surprised me. It wasn’t a cleverer prompt or a fancier tool.

It was one instruction: before you write, check the archive. Did I already cover this last week?

That’s it. A memory step.

Most “content problems” are like this. We think we need more ideas, a better hook, a sharper angle. Usually we just need to remember what we already said — so we stop saying it again.

Your reader doesn’t need you to be endlessly original.

They need you to not repeat yourself.

P.S. Paid subscribers get my full thinking on building content systems that don’t go stale — plus live workshops and direct access when something breaks. I’m starting the next Claude for Creators cohort late this summer. Click here to learn more and grab your spot. I limit the group to 10 people so everyone gets attention and support.
