Hi friends,

Summer has a way of exposing everything. Your usual go-tos don’t hold up in the heat and humidity, and your rotation of clothes needs a revamp for the new season. Consider this my short list of what made the cut. The things that got repurchased, packed twice, and recommended unprompted to a friend mid-conversation. If it’s here, it’s because it earned its spot.

Alot of these items are on sale, so do check the sites for that.

There's something about eyelet that gets summer. The open weave allows air to flow through in the summer heat, while still looking polished. It’s truly effortless and versatile.

  • The white eyelet midi skirt to have this summer - Bring ‘90s minimalism into your wardrobe with this chic wrap skirt. Made with cotton poplin, it’s crisp and clean. A definite must-have that can be easily dressed up or down.

  • Chic windowpane eyelet skirt - This skirt comes in 5 different colors, but I am loving the black. It is so stunning with the windowpane eyelet detailing. The elastic waistband and mini slip underneath give comfort and style.

  • Gorgeous blue eyelet midi skirt - ON SALE $69! This color makes me dream of seaside dinners and a romantic stroll afterward. I love that it’s pleated, too. You can wear this skirt for a polished daytime look and easily transition into a night out. Pair it with the matching top!

  • Most-copied blouse - It’s no wonder this blouse has set the standard. The silhouette is perfectly feminine, and details like embroidered eyelets and lace-trimmed ruffles make it so charming. It’s totally worth the investment. I’ve also found lookalike ones at different price points here, here, and here.

  • Perfect summer dress - This sleeveless mini shift dress is a must for summer. It’s the perfect canvas for layering and accessorizing.

  • Eyelet sarong - It’s 50% off right now, so don’t wait to get this fabulous swimsuit cover-up. I love that it can be worn with any swimsuit style.

I’m an advocate for swapping out black for navy, especially during the warmer months. Black can not only be hot temperature-wise but also look visually heavy. This is where navy comes in!

  • Perfect navy tee - Replace your usual black tee with this navy one, and thank me later! It’s so breathable and easily accessorized, making it go from casual to dressy.

  • Terry Henley - This is the perfect combination of laid-back and polished. There are endless ways to style this top, and it makes a great transitional piece.

I have been loving easy, drawstring pants lately that don’t look too slouchy or casual. I’m comfortable in them all day while looking put together.

  • Perfectly flowy wide-leg pants - 40% off right now! These fit like a dream. They hit just above the ankles, have pockets, and have just the right amount of movement. I can easily lounge around the house in them and quickly dress them up to head out the door.

  • Fun poplin pants - I love the fun colors these pants come in. They scream summer! The poplin makes it a bit more structured than the flowy pants above, while still being comfortable.

  • Ultimate summer pants - Seersucker is the material for hot days, and these effortless pants are perfect for summer. The stripes are chic on this wrinkle-resistant and breathable fabric.

  • Comfortable and chic pants - These are perfect for staying in and going out. It looks like loungewear, but the elevated silhouette makes it easy to transition from running errands to a lunch date.

If you’ve been following along, you know I love adding a pop of color with my shoes. And, red shoes have been my go-to this summer!

  • Perfect red thongs - I have been wearing these for years and have them in multiple colors. They’re comfortable and affordable. A must-have in your summer wardrobe.

  • Mesh espadrille Mary Janes - I love Mary Janes, and these are mesh for the summer. They’re breathable, comfortable, and so stylish. I’ve been wearing them on repeat!

  • A splash of red - If you’re looking for just a touch of red, these shoes are for you. The adorable print and lace-up detail are so darling and fun for summer.

Set dressing is the easiest way to get dressed this summer. Take the guesswork out of coordinating outfits, and reach for one of these sets instead.

  • Denim-collared shirt and shorts - This great set is on sale right now! The collared shirt gives it a more polished look, but the denim adds a touch of casual vibe for an easy, everyday outfit.

  • Jersey denim tank and matching pants - I’ve shared this set before, but it’s worth mentioning again. The top is different, though. It’s a buttoned vest, and I love the versatility of this set.

  • Neutral vest and matching shorts - The details on this simple vest are what caught my eye. The button-through front and curved hemline take this vest to the next level. And the deep coffee color is gorgeous as a staple neutral and easily transitions into fall.

  • V-neck tank and matching shorts - What an effortless outfit. The ribbed detailing and subtle side splits add sophistication. And the material is all-day comfort.

  • Fun lobster print set - This makes me look forward to a themed party this summer. The silhouette is feminine and flattering, perfectly balancing the fun print.

  • More affordable options include this green-striped cotton set, cap-sleeve top and skirt set, and chic navy set.

This is an overlooked piece that I don’t see talked about enough. A really great lace top can take any outfit into a dressier, night-out look with zero effort.

  • Asymmetric satin cami - I love the asymmetry on this top, and the lace detailing is so beautiful. A top like this makes you stand out in the crowd.

I wait all year long to wear my shell- and fish-themed accessories. They are the easiest way to add a splash of summer into every outfit.

  • Shell drop earrings - These are the finishing touch to your perfect summer outfit. I love the neutral color of the shells so that they can be worn with any outfit. (Use discount code: TAMMY15)

  • Delicate beach glass earrings - If you’re dipping your toes into this type of jewelry this summer, I’d start here. It’s delicate, but the drop design of cascading beach glass makes a statement. (Use discount code: TAMMY15)

  • Pink shell necklace - It doesn’t get more summer than pink beads and shells! I love how fun and feminine this one is.

  • Spiral shell statement necklace - This one is so versatile. I can see myself wearing this with a white tee and jeans or a night out in a fabulous dress.

  • Fish earrings - The dangling scales create movement for even more interest. How fun!

  • Rattan shell bag - Yes, this bag fits your phone. I’d wear it to brunch with my girlfriends or on a night out! It’s perfect for vacation.

I won’t give up jeans, even in the summer. Why should I, when there are fantastic lightweight options?

  • Midrise boyfriend jeans - For starters, the lightwash is ideal for summer. The cuff adds texture, and the fit is so comfortable and breathable. I’ve been wearing these non-stop.

  • High-rise wide-leg jeans - These are absolutely flattering, and I get compliments on them in person and online every time I wear them.

  • Pink drawstring jeans - Wide-leg jeans are my choice of cut for the summer, and this one adds a pop of color, too!

One of the things I love about summer dressing is the fun, bold colors. It’s so lively and makes certain pieces really stand out in the season.

  • Breezy palazzo pants - ultimate comfort and style in one. The palazzo style is so comfortable, and the lightweight fabric keeps you cool.

  • One of my (and yours!) favorite pants - I love putting together an outfit with these pants because y’all love them just as much as I do! They are comfortable and so flattering. It’s a great buildable piece to have in your wardrobe. Try it in this fun aubergine color!

  • Striped smocked pull-on pants - Pair this with your favorite neutral top, and you’re ready to go. The smocked waistband and linen-blend material mean all-day comfort.

  • Statement pants - I adore the bold, bright stripes on these pants. And, they’re linen!

That's the list. Nothing on it is groundbreaking, and that's the point. These are the things that work all season long, without asking you to think about them twice. If even one of these earns a place in your own rotation, consider it passed along with full confidence. You can find the full list here and here. Let me know what you want to see next in the comments!

Until next time,

Tammy
