Madonna, 68, looks phenomenal in rare sunset beach photo during mother-son date in Greece

Madonna has proved that even a simple beach trip can be a major style moment. The award-winning singer has been enjoying a mother-son vacation with oldest son Rocco Ritchie, 26, during their joint birthday month.

The Material Girl hitmaker took Rocco to Patmos, Greece, a place she holds close to her heart - having first been there when pregnant with Rocco. 

The trip was incredibly special for the star, who described it as a "full circle moment" to be able to take Rocco back to the "magical" island "as a man". 

The I Feel So Free singer shared several pictures from the trip on social media, which featured some artistic snapshots of her and Rocco posing on the beach while setting up for a picnic - looking like they had stepped straight from a fashion shoot.

In the pictures, Madonna looked stylish dressed in a corset dress teamed with a patterned headscarf, white sunglasses and tan boots. She completed her look with a pair of lace gloves. Rocco, meanwhile, looked smart in a white shirt teamed with white jeans. 

The pictures were taken at sunset, while the pair enjoyed a beer. Alongside the photo reel, Madonna wrote: "Prayers from Patmos!! What a magical island. I really felt the presence of God there. The first time I went to Greece, I was 7 months pregnant with Rocco. A full circle moment to take him there again as a Man. To reconnect. To remember. Good for the Soul!" 

August is Madonna and Rocco's birthday month

Rocco and Madonna have both been celebrating their birthdays this month. Rocco turned 26 on August 11, and his proud mom paid tribute to him on his big day. 

The Vogue hitmaker took to Instagram to share several posts dedicated to Rocco, including a collage of unseen pictures of the artist from over the years. 

These included pictures of Rocco with his mom, one of him at his art exhibition and another of him DJ'ing. Madonna also shared footage of Rocco flying in a helicopter with her, alongside the caption: "Happy Birthday Rocco!! Life with you is one adventure after the next. Love you in this life and all the others." 

The star ended the trio of posts with a throwback picture of her holding Rocco as a little boy, referencing the sweet nickname she calls him: Rockstar. "Another trip around the sun... Happy birthday, Rockstar." Madonna, meanwhile, celebrated her birthday on August 16. 

Madonna's six children

The doting mom shares Rocco with ex-husband Guy Ritchie and is also mom to five other children. She shares oldest daughter Lourdes Leon with ex Carlos Leon, and went on to adopt four children from Malawi - David Banda, 20, Mercy James, 20, and twins Stella and Estere, 13.
