For the fourth time now, a whole week came from you. Every word we opened began with the same question, “which verse do you wish you could read in Hebrew?”, and your inbox answers carried us Sunday night to this morning. Before we rest, here is the week laid out, and the person behind each one.

• Samakh סָמַךְ, lean, uphold. “Perfect peace” is a mind that leans its full weight on him. for José (Isaiah 26:3)

• Kadosh קָדוֹשׁ, holy. The one word heaven says three times, and Isaiah saw whose glory it was. for Ethan L. (Isaiah 6:3)

• Sapar סָפַר, declare, recount. The heavens are not scenery. They are narrating, without words. for Dusty (Psalm 19:1)

• Shomer שֹׁמֵר, keeper. The word six times, and the One keeping you never sleeps. for Maurene M. (Psalm 121:5)

• Echad אֶחָד, one. The Shema’s word for oneness, and Jesus prayed you inside it. for Susan M. (John 17:22-23)
