Happy it’s-almost-halloween time of year! Hopefully you’re getting into the spooky vibe and able to enjoy this cooler weather and changing color. What are you dressing up as this year?
A RECAP
No big news, but there are new big paintings! I have still been trying to get at least one solid effort at a large piece per week, and this one was under a busy overpass. It’s going to take more than one session to finish, but the bones are strong. Stay tuned for more on this!
COMING UP
I’m excited to announce that 2026 calendars are in the process of being made!! To be honest, I didn’t think I had the energy to go through with it, but it’s been such a long standing tradition and so many of you share how much you enjoy them that I had to try. Hopefully you’ll understand that due to limited time/energy a template was used for the actual calendar part, but it still looks great and it was therapeutic going through all the images of the year and picking favorites.
There will not be a small one, as the costs of calendars this year are astronomical and I’m not really sure how big my reach is without instagram. This is a standard 11x8.5” (11x17 open), and I’ll be expecting them in mid November in time to get them out before the holidays!
NEW WORK
For a very short lived time I had a rule of painting only new things, but decided to toss that out the door. Things are so challenging mentally, that creating more boundaries and rules in an already difficult situation was more harmful than helpful. While I do try to continue to push myself and get out of my comfort zone as much as possible, it’s okay to just PAINT and just take one step at a time when things are hard. Here’s a handful of new pieces that I hope you like.
Two Birds - 4”x8” - oil on panel
Pink Roses, Purple Mt. Diablo - 6”x8”- oil on panel
Morning Meditation 99 - 9”x12” - oil on panel
Morning Birds Again - 12”x16” - oil on panel
Apple Tree Rhythm - 16”x20” - oil on panel
NEW IN STORE
Four new paintings are dried, signed and in the shop!

Autumn Morning - 8”x10” - Oil on Panel - $375
Locals’ Favorite Tree - 16”x20” - Oil on Panel - $1200
Celadon Vase with White Roses - 6”x6” - Oil on Panel - $180
Music to Love
One of my guilty pleasures is being back on TikTok, only for a little bit until the transfer goes through. However, I’m happy to report that it is still a place thriving with creativity and feels the same as it used to (to me, at least). One of the things I missed most when I initially left was the MUSIC. Oh the music!!! So many incredible songwriters and musicians sharing their work in a raw and honest way. I’ve been saving as many videos as I can, like packing my bag for the inevitable move, but want to share a few favorites with you. Warning: my faves tend to be dark, sad and/or moody 😅.
