Heather Ihn Martin Art · Heather Ihn Martin Art

Better late than never, they say. My headspace has been focused more on my day job as a game artist than in the fine art world, but there’s still plenty of art accumulating and updates to share.

Did you see the Barcelona trip recap? If not, start there! Otherwise continue onward to see all the exciting things in store.

NEW FLUFFBALLS

Perhaps the cutest bit of news is that we have four new baby chicks! We suspect one is a rooster, but let’s all cross our fingers that it’s just a very dominant and confident lil’ lady.

Meet Ganache, Churro, Leche, and Ann (Her? (Arrested Development Ref)). We’re excited to add these fiery little fluffballs to the flock.

BACK ON IG

Another thing that happened is that I have reluctantly returned to Instagram. Not my proudest moment, but it feels like the right move and I was honestly overwhelmed at all the warmth and support going back. I’ve just spent too long building that account and connecting with so many kind-hearted folk there, and it was thrilling to be reconnected with all the amazing artists and creators. Sure, it’s also a cesspool of reels, ads, data mining, and reeks of desperation…but there is also a huge wealth of creativity and inspiration to be found.

I’m sorry for not posting more updates here on Substack but am spread pretty thin at the moment. I will try to do better for those of you that are admirably resisting the beast, but if you are there it will be the best place to get all the updates.

DOOR COUNTY PLEIN AIR FESTIVAL

It brings me great joy to announce that Jon and I are headed to Wisconsin in July for the great Door County Plein Air Festival! After three years of participating, it has quickly become my favorite (and now only) event.

I can ‘t wait to dig my toes into the Lake Michigan sand and paint those beautiful sunsets and dramatic skies. The event is from July 19-25 and is packed full of activities. If you can make it, it’s a great one to witness with some truly incredible artists!

You would be bored to death if I posted all the new paintings from Feb, March, April & May, but here are some of my favorites. There won’t be a “New in Store” update because there’s just hasn’t been time to list everything, but if you have any inquiries please feel to reach out directly. Just remember my prices are typically by square inch, so the larger they are, the higher the cost is. A good comparison is looking at the prices in my shop. Always happy to help or answer any questions.
