For years, there were never any frozen food brands that I would approve of because of their low-quality ingredients. However, within the past few years, the frozen food options have improved dramatically, and I am constantly amazed at the amount of better-for-you frozen pizzas. Pizza doesn’t have to be considered a junk food if it’s made with the right ingredients. To make shopping easier for you, I compiled a list of my top 5 healthy frozen pizza brands to help you on your next grocery run.

  1. Yough: This was one of the first better-for-you pizza brands I found, and I am so happy that they are now available at Target nationwide. All of their crusts are made with greek yogurt, packing 40g of protein into one pizza! The ingredients are so simple made without added sugars, seed oils, or preservatives.

  2. Loopini: With 50g of protein and 20g of fiber, Loopini’s pizzas are the perfect protein-packed dinner, guaranteed to satisfy any pizza cravings. The crust is made from lupini flour, derived from lupin beans which are known for their high protein and fiber contents. My favorite is the classic margherita pizza, and the whole pizza is only 560 calories!

  3. Milton’s: These pizzas are a new favorite of mine because the crusts are made of cauliflower without any seed oils. It’s difficult to find high-quality gluten-free pizzas, but I couldn’t recommend Milton’s pizzas enough! I personally really like the roasted vegetable one.

  4. Cappello’s: This brand has two different pizza crust options: a classic crispy crust made of European wheat and an almond flour crust. Both are gluten-free, glyphosate-free, and contain no seed oils. The ingredients are very high quality, and you can taste the difference.

  5. Banza: If you’re looking for a high protein and gluten free option, Banza is the way to go. Made from chickpeas, their crust is delicious and packs 17g of protein per serving. Banza pizza has 20% more protein, 3x more fiber, 20% fewer net carbs per serving compared to the leading frozen pizza brands.

It’s amazing to see so many brands improving the quality of their ingredients while also focusing on increasing protein and fiber in their products. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring, especially with all of these delicious and nutrient-dense pizza options.

Thank you for reading this week’s newsletter! I hope you’re enjoying them.
